Chennai: The Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (IIM Trichy) inaugurated the 14th batch of its Post Graduate Programme in Business Management (PGPBM 2025-27) at its Chennai campus on May 3.

The ceremony began with an invocation and lamp lighting, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge. Prof. Gopal V., Dean (Academics), extended a warm welcome to the new cohort, followed by remarks from Prof. Saravanan, Dean (Corporate Relations & Faculty Affairs), who highlighted the institute's strong industry linkages.

Prof. Gajanand M. S., Chairperson of PGPBM, introduced the programme's academic framework and encouraged students to leverage its flexible, application-oriented curriculum.

Addressing the gathering, IIM Trichy Director Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh underscored the institute's commitment to inclusive education and value-based leadership.

Chief Guest Shri Raghavan N, President of Lucas Indian Service Ltd., urged students to embrace lifelong learning and adaptability in the evolving business environment. Guest of Honour Smt. Lakshmi Arun Kumar, IIM Trichy alumna and Director at ONRGY Services Pvt. Ltd., shared insights from her professional journey and experience at the institute.

The event concluded with the distribution of academic awards to meritorious students from the previous batch, followed by a vote of thanks and the national anthem.
