Over 720 online certification courses in engineering, science, humanities, and management are offered for free enrollment on the SWAYAM and NPTEL portals. With a goal to reach over 30 lakh learners, the initiative has already attracted more than 2.5 crore participants. The courses, including optional certification exams for Rs. 1000, aim to provide advanced learning opportunities. The enrollment deadline is February 19, 2024. As NPTEL celebrates its 20th year of operations and 10th year of offering certification, it remains India's largest online learning platform. The current semester introduces new courses in areas such as Research Methodology for Planning and Architectural Studies, Computational Genomics, Structural Vibration, Applied Statistical Thermodynamics, Games and Information, and Experimental Robotics.NPTEL+ introduces flexible self-paced courses and short-term programs. NPTEL has been instrumental in career advancements and industry collaborations, with over 66,000 faculty members and 1.52+ lakh economically disadvantaged learners benefiting from the program.
