Puducherry: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) on Friday organised the “JIPMER Conference on Endometrial Cancers 2026,” focusing on integrated, multidisciplinary approaches in the management of endometrial cancer.

The conference, organised by the Departments of Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology under the theme “Integrating Multidisciplinary Approaches in Endometrial Cancers,” brought together experts from India and abroad to deliberate on evidence-based strategies to improve patient outcomes.

The inaugural session was attended by Medical Superintendent Dr Saka Vinod Kumar, Dean (Academic) Dr Vikram Kate and Dean (Research) Dr Kadambari D. Kumar underscored the importance of multidisciplinary tumour boards and coordinated institutional protocols in ensuring comprehensive cancer care.

The programme featured virtual participation by Dr Peter Hoskin of The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, UK, and faculty from leading institutions including Tata Memorial Hospital and Christian Medical College.

Deliberations covered risk stratification, imaging advances, molecular classification, radiation therapy and management of advanced disease.
