Chartered Accountancy (CA) offers a wealth of career opportunities, emphasizing its significance across industries, said Rajesh, a member of the South Indian Regional Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

Highlighting the growing interest in commerce education alongside science, he noted that CA is a highly sought-after profession, with a vital role in every company.

The CA course is open to students after the 10th standard, allowing them to register and take the Foundation exam after completing their Plus Two.

The CA journey consists of three stages—Foundation, Intermediate, and Final—with exams held three times a year.

Rajesh emphasized that early preparation, starting four months post-registration, helps improve success rates. Students can pursue college education alongside the Foundation course. The Intermediate stage comprises six papers, requiring specific minimum scores in both individual subjects and the overall exam.

Currently, around nine lakh students are pursuing CA studies, including those from Tamil-medium backgrounds, with scholarships available to support them.

Chartered Accountants enjoy a lifelong career without retirement, making it a profession of continuous growth and responsibility.
