Chennai: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the results of the NEET-UG 2025 examination on June 14, officials announced. The exam is the gateway for admissions to MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH courses, as well as veterinary and military nursing programs across India.

NEET UG 2025 was held on May 4, with over 20 lakh students appearing. The provisional answer key and scanned OMR sheets were released on the official website neet.nta.nic.in on Tuesday. Candidates have until today to raise objections, supported by valid proof. Final results will be accessible on nta.ac.in.

In a related development, Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma. Subramanian on Tuesday announced that applications for undergraduate medical and dental courses under the state's government and management quota in private colleges will be accepted from June 6—prior to the NEET result declaration.

Addressing reporters after a consultative meeting at the Omandurar Government Multi Super Specialty Hospital, the minister said the move was aimed at easing the application burden for students.

"Until last year, applications were invited only after NEET results. However, any delay in result publication caused last-minute stress. From this year, we are starting earlier," he said.

Subramanian clarified that NEET scores need not be uploaded immediately. Once results are released, the data will be automatically verified using the candidate's NEET roll number and admit card. The final merit list will be compiled accordingly.

He added that students who wish to apply post-results will be given an extended five-day application window.
