Jaipur: Nimawat Public School in Fatehpur town of Sikar district in Rajasthan has decided to offer its students hobby/career in aviation and aero sports activities from the new session, beginning next month.

School Director Col(Rtd) P.C. Sharma said, that in the first phase of new curriculum, the school would begin with microlight aircraft flying, motorised gliding and hot air ballooning. It would begin regular flying college by next three to four years.

He said the microlight flying would be aimed not only to give children flying experience, but to impart them training in flying career to gear up for attaining student pilot license(SPL) and commercial pilot license(CPL).

Mr. Sharma said the school would ensure the students flying activities at rate as much low as 20-30 per cent as compared to fees being charged by other flying schools and/or clubs in the country or elsewhere.

The facilities might be offered to outsiders to depending on availability but preference would be given to school students only.

The school, a total residential campus, has been imparting education in most innovating manner focusing on all round development of children.

The school has become first institution in the country which offers flying and aviation training facilities to its students, Col Sharma said.
