Scheduled to take place on December 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, and 14, 2023, the exams will consist of two papers, each featuring objective-type, multiple-choice questions.To be held in computer-based test (CBT) mode, the UGC NET exams evaluate candidates for roles as 'Assistant Professor' and 'Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)'. The exam city intimation slip, providing details about the examination center, will be made available 10 days before the commencement of the exams. Aspiring candidates can download the slip from the official websites ugcnet.nta.ac.in or nta.ac.in.Admit cards are set to be released in the initial week of December. The conferment of Junior Research Fellowship or eligibility for Assistant Professorship hinges on the overall performance of candidates in Paper-I and Paper-II of UGC-NET. Those qualifying solely for Assistant Professorship will not be considered for the JRF award. Successful candidates in the eligibility test for Assistant Professorship are subject to the regulations of the relevant universities, colleges, or state governments, as applicable for Assistant Professor recruitment.The UGC-NET is held biannually, in June and December. In an effort to standardize the UGC-NET exam cycle, the NTA, in collaboration with the UGC, is conducting the UGC NET December 2023 session in 83 subjects across selected cities nationwide. To access the exam schedule, interested individuals can follow these steps: 1) Visit the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in. 2) On the homepage, select the link for the UGC NET December 2023 exam schedule. 3) The schedule will be available for download on the screen.
