Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal on Wednesday said that the state's skill development initiatives are showing tangible results, with ITI graduates being placed in leading national companies.

During a review meeting on the progress of ongoing programmes, Agarwal said the government is taking major steps to strengthen coordination between industries, the Skill Development Mission, and ITIs to ensure training aligns with actual industrial needs.

According to an official statement, ITI students have secured placements in reputed companies such as Subros Ltd., Creature Industries, Dixon Technologies, Havells, Pepsico, and Sona BLW.

Addressing officials at the headquarters of the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission in Aliganj, Agarwal announced that the Mission would prepare an industry visit calendar and a structured timetable to enhance industry-institute synergy.

He said that all nodal ITIs would organise monthly placement drives on the 21st of every month, with Deloitte India as the key partner to ensure active industry participation.

Students have also gained hands-on exposure through visits to Gyan Dairy, Alpha Engineers (TATA Motors Ancillary), Mohannah Enterprises, Kashi Industries, and Avionics Sparrow, the statement added.

The government is further expanding collaborations with sectoral organisations such as the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC), the Furniture and Fittings Sector Skill Council (FFSC), and Gyan Dairy to strengthen training and placement opportunities.
