Amaravati: SRM University-AP, Amaravati, has been recognised as a QS I-GAUGE Institution of Happiness (IOH) for 2025-26, acknowledging its focus on creating a positive, inclusive and well-being-oriented academic environment.
The recognition was conferred following an extensive stakeholder survey involving students, faculty members and alumni, which assessed parameters related to happiness, emotional well-being and holistic development within the institution, the university said.
The QS I-GAUGE Institution of Happiness is a national initiative that evaluates higher educational institutions on aspects such as mental health support, stakeholder satisfaction and the creation of human-centred campuses. The 2025-26 assessment was conducted under the theme “One Campus, Many Smiles: Celebrating Every Voice in Well-being”, with emphasis on inclusivity, emotional health and community engagement.
Pro-Chancellor of SRM University-AP P Sathyanarayanan said the institution remains committed to fostering a culture that promotes happiness and a positive learning atmosphere through an inclusive education ecosystem.
Vice-Chancellor Ch Satish Kumar said the recognition reaffirmed the university's belief that academic excellence and student well-being must progress together. He said the institution strives to ensure that students and faculty feel valued, supported and inspired within the campus environment.
Associate Dean (Quality Assurance and Rankings) Karthik Rajendran said the recognition reflected the collective efforts of the academic community to build a supportive and engaging ecosystem. He added that the feedback and analytics provided by QS I-GAUGE would help further refine institutional policies and practices to enhance quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
The award was received by the Vice-Chancellor at a ceremony held in New Delhi. The university said the recognition strengthens its mission of developing a resilient and future-ready academic community, with happiness and well-being positioned as key pillars of educational excellence.
