Chennai: The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has issued a warning following complaints that some employees and teachers in government and government-aided schools have joined service using fake certificates.

Officials have directed that the authenticity of Class 10, Class 12, teacher education, degree, and diploma certificates of all school employees and teachers be verified on a district-wise basis.

The Financial Advisor and Principal Accounts Officer of the School Education Directorate has instructed district principal education officers to submit a detailed report to the Directorate by December 31, 2025, officials said.
