Chennai: A student from Tamil Nadu has secured the All India second rank in the B.Arch paper of the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main), the results of which were announced recently.

The examination is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to premier institutions, including IITs, NITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions, in two stages — Main and Advanced.

The first session of JEE Main was held from January 21 to 29, with Paper 2 for B.Arch and B.Plan conducted on January 29.

According to the results, Suryatejas from Kerala secured the All India first rank in the B.Arch category with a perfect score of 100, while Gaurishankar topped the B.Plan category with 100 marks.

Sushil Narayanasamy from Tamil Nadu secured the second rank nationally in the B.Arch category with a score of 99.99.

In the B.Plan category, Yashwanth Mahendran, also from Tamil Nadu, secured the fifth rank at the national level with a score of 99.98.
