Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) on Wednesday released the rank list for admission to its undergraduate programmes for the academic year 2025-26, with over 29,000 candidates qualifying for counselling.

According to an official release, a total of 37,007 applications were received for admission to 14 undergraduate courses offered by TNAU and the Agriculture Faculty of Annamalai University. Of these, 29,349 candidates were found eligible and included in the rank list.

Of the qualified candidates, 18,443 are female and 9,370 are male. The list comprises 27,823 candidates under the general (academic) stream and 1,266 under the vocational stream.

The online application process began on May 9 through the portal http://tnau.ucanapply.com, with the original deadline set for June 8. Based on requests from students and parents, the last date was extended twice — first to June 16 and later to June 20 — to accommodate candidates facing issues in fee payment.

Admissions are being conducted through a unified application process for 6,921 seats in TNAU (2,516 in government colleges and 4,405 in private colleges) and 340 seats in the Agriculture Division of Annamalai University.

Divya from Villupuram secured the top rank, followed by Hamda Mehtab and Illakiya, both from Cuddalore.
