Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has scheduled certificate verification and counselling for two major recruitment processes later this month.

Verification of original certificates for the post of Assistant Division Officer (Post Code 3235) under the Chief Secretariat Department (excluding Law and Finance) will take place on August 28. This follows the publication of results of the Combined Civil Services Examination - Group 5A on June 27, 2025.

The next day, August 29, the Commission will conduct the second phase of certificate verification and counselling for the Combined Civil Services-II (Group II and IIA Services) to fill vacancies notified under Notification No.08/2024 dated June 20, 2024.

The list of provisionally shortlisted candidates for both processes has been published on the TNPSC website (www.tnpsc.gov.in). Candidates can download their call letters with date, time and venue details from the portal. Intimation will be sent via SMS and email, but no separate postal communication will be issued.

The Commission clarified that attendance at certificate verification does not guarantee appointment and warned that failure to appear on the scheduled date will result in forfeiture of candidature. It also cautioned that not all candidates called for verification will be admitted to the next stage.

Both verifications will be held at the TNPSC office on Commission Road, near Broadway Bus Stand and Fort Railway Station in Chennai.
