Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) announced that the Main Examination for the Combined Civil Services Examination-I (Group I Services) will be conducted from December 1 to 4, 2025, at 18 centres in Chennai.

The examination will be held in the forenoon session on all four days. Chief Invigilators and Room Invigilators have been deployed, with one invigilator assigned for every 10 candidates. All arrangements have been completed for the smooth conduct of the test, the Commission said.

TNPSC added that all examination-related activities would be videographed and jammer devices have been installed across centres to prevent the use of electronic devices. Candidates must report at their allotted centres by 9.00 am on each exam day; late entrants will not be permitted. They must carry their hall ticket and use only black ink pens, as coloured pens, pencils, sketch pens, crayons, and whiteners are prohibited.

Candidates have also been advised to carefully follow the instructions printed on the hall ticket, question paper, answer sheet, and those published on the Commission's website, and to avoid carrying any restricted electronic gadgets.

The examination corresponds to TNPSC Notification No. 4/2025 dated April 1, 2025, issued for direct recruitment under the Group I Services.
