Hong Kong Tamils celebrated Panguni Uthiram grandly with Kavadi and Pal kudam processions at the Happy Valley Swaminatha swamy Sannidhi..

Kavadis were made and religiously men carried it during the procession. More than 30 men, women and children carried the Pal Kudam to please Muruga and give all goodness in the coming year to the humanity. Abishekams were done on idols with milk, turmeric, chandan, kumkum, tender cocoanut, vibuthi etc. Muruga with Valli Deivayanai adorned the temple to bless the deities. Many Songs including Thiruppugazh on Muruga was sung to please the Gods.

The two special mentions on the day of celebration was that Holi was celebrated on the same venue and a Chinese group of 30 people headed by Aaron attended these two ceremonies to learn about our culture.

One Chinese onlooker told that they came to see how Indian traditions are and this event seems to be unique. Many of them enjoyed taking photos to keep in their records.

More than 300 people had the Prasad and went home with fulfillment of attending the ceremonies..
