
In general, we see that reading habits of people have reduced. But there are still people who are interested in reading. To encourage them, Consul General of India in Hong Kong had started an initative to bring the book lovers together through Consulate Book Club. The second meeting was held on 28th February at Consulate Multi purpose hall. Mrs. Bhakti Mathur and Jaya Sinha Kumra were in conversation about the book 'Tomb of Sand', written by Geethanjali Shree, and translated by US translator Daisy Rockell, the first novel translated from an Indian language to win the international booker prize.
Consul General Mrs. Satwant Kanalia presided over the event. More than 30 book lovers joined this event to exchange their views about the book on Octagenerian character Chandraprabha Devi called as Ma.
