CSIR celebrates Foundation Day

chennai: the council of scientific & industrial research (csir), an autonomous body under the ministry of science & technology, celebrated its foundation day with great zeal on september 26, 2024, at the csir campus in taramani, chennai, organized by the csir-structural engineering research centre (csir-serc) and the csir madras complex (cmc).as part of the festivities, an open day was held at the csir campus and the tower testing and research station (ttrs) in tirusulam. all laboratories opened their doors to the public from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, welcoming over 9,200 visitors, including students, teachers, industry professionals, and entrepreneurs.visitors were eager to explore various cutting-edge technologies and products, engaging actively with scientific staff while gaining insights into the diverse r&d programs and innovations underway in the labs.
