IIT Madras Pravartak, SWAYAM Plus launch skill-based training program

chennai: iit madras pravartak technologies foundation, in collaboration with swayam plus, is set to launch a skill-based training program for engineering and science students with an electronics background. the program aims to equip students with industry-ready technical skills and will run from 7th to 18th october 2024 at the iit madras campus. placement assistance will be provided to top-performing students, with the curriculum designed in collaboration with industry experts to meet the needs of the electronics manufacturing service (ems) industry.the program covers topics such as pcb assembly, soldering processes, smt reflow soldering, power electronics, and embedded system design using the stm 32 microcontroller. the course is open to students with an engineering or electronics background and includes hands-on training. the fee is inr 15,000 + gst, with accommodation available for inr 650 per day.this initiative, supported by the department of science and technology under india's national mission on interdisciplinary cyber-physical systems, aligns with the national education policy's (nep 2020) goal of enhancing employability-focused skills across key sectors.interested students must apply by 3rd october 2024 through https://iitmpravartak.org.in/advanced_electronic_mfg)
