Students engage in scientific learning at CSIR Jigyasa event

chennai: csir-structural engineering research centre (csir-serc), chennai, hosted the csir jigyasa scientific aptitude assessment on december 20, 2024, bringing together 25 students and 2 teachers from pm shri kendriya vidyalaya, meenambakkam.the event featured a hands-on science session and an aptitude assessment, where students conducted experiments under online guidance from csir-igib scientists, new delhi. dr. n. anandavalli, director, csir-serc, encouraged students to embrace innovation, creativity, and scientific pursuits, urging them to consider careers in science.dr. s. maheswaran, senior principal scientist and nodal officer for jigyasa, briefed participants on csir initiatives and the jigyasa program, which inspires students to explore science and research.the students also joined the csir jigyasa epic hackathon 2024 finale online and toured csir-serc's laboratories, interacting with scientists and gaining insights into ongoing research activities at the center.
