Admissions open for BNYS course under MGR Medical University
chennai: admissions are underway for the bachelor of naturopathy and yogic sciences (bnys) course offered by colleges affiliated to the tamil nadu dr. m.g.r. medical university, the state government said tuesday.the course spans five-and-a-half years, including a one-year compulsory internship.according to the eligibility criteria, applicants must be indian citizens and natives of tamil nadu. candidates from other states residing in tamil nadu are not eligible. aspirants should have studied in tamil nadu from class 6 to class 12 and must have completed 17 years of age as on december 31, 2025.students must have studied physics, chemistry, botany and zoology or physics, chemistry, biology or biotechnology at the higher secondary level. appearing for the neet exam is not mandatory for admission.admissions are conducted through separate counselling for seats in government yoga and naturopathy medical colleges, government quota seats in self-financed institutions, and management quota seats in self-financed colleges.special reservations under the government quota are available for dependents of ex-servicemen, sportspersons and persons with disabilities.applications can be submitted online at https://tnayushonline.co.in/2025/reg/ug/. candidates must apply separately for the government and management quota seats.the last date to apply is august 1. further details are available at https://tnhealth.tn.gov.in/.
