DU expresses concern over vested interests exploiting students

new delhi: delhi university on friday expressed concern that certain "vested interests" were exploiting students participating in the ongoing protests for their own benefit, while urging efforts to ease the prevailing tension.the statement comes amid continuing protests in the national capital by members of the cjp organisation. the centre has invited the protesters for talks, but they have declined the offer.ina statement, the university said it understood the concerns and distress of the students."it is unfortunate that instead of addressing students' anxieties, certain vested interests are exploiting them for their own purposes. the immediate priority should be to restore calm and reduce the mental stress faced by students," the statement said.the university added that only in a peaceful environment would students be able to focus on their education and future.
