IITM Pravartak announces third batch of applied AI and deep learning programme

chennai: itm pravartak, the technology innovation hub of iit madras, in collaboration with timespro, has announced the third batch of its advanced certificate in applied artificial intelligence and deep learning programme.the seven-month online programme is aimed at professionals seeking to develop skills in machine learning, deep learning, generative ai, large language models (llms), agentic ai systems, mlops and cybersecurity.participants will work with widely used frameworks including tensorflow and pytorch and undertake hands-on learning, case-based instruction and guided projects focused on developing ai solutions for real-world applications.the curriculum covers the challenges of working with real-world data and aspects such as robustness, security, scalability and business requirements in ai deployment.dr suchitra veeravalli, consultant, iitm pravartak, said the programme seeks to help professionals move beyond theoretical familiarity with ai and develop the ability to design systems that can work reliably in complex business environments.timespro business head for executive education sridhar nagarajachar said the collaboration aims to help learners develop contemporary ai capabilities and apply them to enterprise requirements.the programme is open to graduates and postgraduates in engineering, mathematics and computational sciences, subject to the prescribed eligibility criteria.the programme will be delivered through live online sessions by iit madras faculty and industry practitioners, along with webinars, assignments and a capstone project. it also includes a campus immersion at iit madras research park.participants completing the programme will receive a certificate of completion from iitm pravartak, technology innovation hub of iit madras.according to the programme details, participants can pursue roles including data scientist, machine learning engineer, data analyst, ai/ml research scientist, data engineer and deep learning engineer.
