JEE Main 2026 Registration Begins; NTA introduces Aadhaar-based authentication and accessibility measures
new delhi: the national testing agency (nta) has officially opened registration for the joint entrance examination (jee) main 2026, with new aadhaar-linked verification and enhanced accessibility features for candidates across india.students can apply through the official website https://jeemain.nta.nic.inby filling in the required details, uploading documents, paying the application fee, and submitting the form online. applicants are advised to download and retain the confirmation page for future reference.according to the tentative schedule released by nta, session 1 of jee main 2026 will be conducted from january 21 to 30, 2026, while session 2 will take place from april 1 to 10, 2026. registrations for the first session began in october 2025 and will continue until november 27, 2025.the agency announced an expansion of examination centres to improve accessibility, particularly benefiting candidates from remote regions and those with disabilities (pwd/pwbd).for the first time, nta will authenticate candidate details — such as name, date of birth, gender, and address — directly through aadhaar in coordination with uidai. however, parental details must be entered manually. candidates can also correct any name discrepancies between aadhaar and class 10 certificates during registration.
