NMMS selection list for TN students released

chennai: the directorate of government examinations, tamil nadu has released the selection list for the national means cum merit scholarship scheme examination (nmms) conducted for class 8 students studying in government and government-aided schools across the state.the examination for the academic year 2025-26 was held on january 10, 2026 for eligible students studying in schools recognised by the tamil nadu government, officials said.according to the directorate, the marks obtained by candidates were published earlier on february 18, 2026. students were also given an opportunity to submit corrections in details such as name, date of birth and caste within the stipulated period ending february 24.after reviewing the correction requests received from candidates, the final selection list for the scholarship scheme was published on march 15.officials said the list of selected candidates is available on the official website of the directorate of government examinations under the 'other examinations' section.the scholarship scheme aims to support meritorious students from economically weaker sections studying in government and aided schools.the directorate added that the published selection list is subject to further verification of eligibility criteria by the directorate of school education, tamil nadu.
