kovai: amrita vishwa vidyapeetham, coimbatore conducted a panel meet regarding “steer your career with futuristic 5 year integrated programs” on august 24 . panel members include the eminent and experienced faculty members of amrita. dr. mahadevan s. focused on the unique features of amrita 5 year integrated program. dr. satheesh babu concentrated on the different science labs and their specialities. the importance of studying data science was best described by dr. somasundaram. dr. palaniswamy concentrated on career guidance, research assistance and the special trainings amrita provide for the students. amrita offers 5 year integrated m. sc. programs in chemistry, physics, mathematics and data science. panel discussed the importance of learning pure sciences at this age,career opportunities and research assistance for students, competitive exam assistance, placements, students exchange program, internship,national and international collaborations. in the interactive session queries of all students were answered.
