Tamil Language Literary Aptitude Test on Oct 11

chennai: the directorate of government examinations will conduct the tamil language literary aptitude test for the academic year 2025-26 on october 11, aimed at encouraging literary proficiency among higher secondary students.according to an official release, 1,500 students will be selected based on merit and awarded a monthly stipend of ₹1,500 for two years through the school education department. of these, 50 per cent of the beneficiaries will be from government schools, while the remaining will include students from other recognised institutions.the test will be held across district headquarters in tamil nadu for class xi students, including those in matriculation, cbse and icse streams. applications can be downloaded from the official website (www.dge.tn.gov.in) between august 22 and september 4, and submitted to the respective school head along with an examination fee of ₹50. the last date for submission is september 4.questions will be drawn from the revised class 10 tamil textbook prescribed for 2025-26. this initiative aims to enhance students' literary aptitude and promote tamil language learning.
