Balaji Temple, San Jose

Balaji Temple, located in San Jose, California, USA, is dedicated to Balaji and Mahalakshmi. Balaji Temple is a spiritual, non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the universal truths of the Vedas and Upanishads of India. The temple was founded in Sunnyvale in 2006 by Swami Narayanananda. The temple in San Jose opened in 2012. The temple has received a certificate of recognition from the California State Legislature for its community service.Since 2010, free yoga classes and meditation retreats have been held. There are also shrines for the deities Sai Baba and Panduranga.All major Hindu festivals such as Shivaratri, Navratri, and Diwali are celebrated here. The temple's annual Guruvantana Puja is celebrated to glorify and honor the Guru for his services to the people and the community.
