JAM is the 'Joint Admission Test' to be written for admission to science-based master's degree programs offered in the best educational institutions in the country!

Educational Institutions: In the academic year 2025-26, admission to 3,000 seats in 89 post-graduate programs offered at 22 Indian Institutes of Technology across the country will be conducted on the basis of this examination.

Also, IISC, NIT, TIAT, IIEST, IISER, Pune and All 2,300 seats in Bhopal, IIPE, JNCASR, SLIET, are to be filled on the basis of JAM examination.

Eligibility: Candidates who complete their undergraduate degree in relevant fields in the year 2025 can write this exam. No age limit.

Exam Papers: There will be questions from seven subjects namely Biotechnology, Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Mathematical Statistics, Mathematics and Physics.

Examination Centres: Centers for this examination are set up in around 100 cities across India.

Admission Process: National level ranking will be prepared based on the subject wise marks obtained by the students in the examination and admission will be done based on that. Govt of India reservation system is followed.
