Admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law courses offered in various educational institutions in India is conducted through a national-level entrance examination called the 'Common Law Admission Test - CLAT.'
Numerous government and private educational institutions, including 24 National Law Universities such as NLSIU, NALSAR, and ALIU, admit students based on their exam marks.
Course: LLB (5-Year Integrated Bachelor of Laws)
Eligibility: Must have passed 10th and 12th with a minimum of 45% marks. For SC/ST/Handicapped categories, 40% marks are sufficient. Students appearing for the 12th general examination in April/May 2025 can also apply.
Course: LL.M. (One-Year Postgraduate Law Course)
Eligibility: Must have completed LLB with a minimum of 50% marks. For SC/ST/Handicapped categories, 45% marks are sufficient. Candidates completing their LLB course with exams in April/May 2025 can also apply.

Application Fee:
Undergraduate and Postgraduate: Rs. 4,000
For SC/ST/Disabled/Below Poverty Line category: Rs. 3,500
Exam Pattern: The exam will be conducted as a direct written exam from 2 PM to 4 PM. Persons with disabilities can write the exam from 2 PM to 4:40 PM.
Last Date to Apply: October 15
Exam Date: December 1
