ISI which is known as Indian Statistical Institute is an educational institute of national importance established for statistics and related programs.
Importance:
Established in 1931 under the Indian Statistical Institute Act, this unique institution of India is one of the oldest institutions focused on statistics. This institute functional under the Central Govt, apart from providing statistics courses, it is also a leading institution in offering programs in Mathematics, Quantitative Economics, Computer Science and other studies related to statistics.
Training Centers:
Headquartered in Kolkata, the institute has campuses in Bangalore, New Delhi, Chennai and Teshpur. It also has a branch in Jharkhand.

Qualifications: Pass in 12th for Bachelor Degree and must have UG degree in the relevant field for Masters and Post Graduate Diploma programs.

Stipend: Stipend ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 31, 000 per month are provided to students depending on the course.
