Chennai: Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Gandhinagar, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chandigarh Police to bolster law enforcement capabilities through specialized training programs.
The collaboration addresses critical policing challenges, including cybercrime, counterterrorism, VIP security, community policing, and aviation security. Training will be delivered through classroom, virtual, and hybrid formats to meet diverse learning needs.
An innovative feature of the partnership is foreign language proficiency courses to enhance communication skills among Punjab Police personnel.
Additionally, the Mission Karmayogi initiative aims to upskill civil servants, promoting effective governance. Training modules in coastal policing and airport security are also planned to ensure robust national safety.
The MoU was signed by Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel, Vice Chancellor of RRU, and Shri Surendra Singh Yadav, IPS, DGP of Chandigarh Police.
Prof. Patel emphasized that the partnership equips officers with modern tools to address operational challenges and ensures improved public safety.
This initiative highlights RRU's dedication to advancing security education and supporting law enforcement agencies in adapting to emerging threats while fostering safer communities.
