Chennai: The Indian Army has opened online applications for recruitment under various categories for the 2025-26 cycle, inviting unmarried candidates from Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

The recruitment notification, published on March 12 at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in, covers Agniveer (Male & Female) and other zonal and central categories.
Eligible candidates from 11 Tamil Nadu districts—Cuddalore, Vellore, Tirupathur, Ranipet, Tiruvannamalai, Chennai, Thiruvallur, Villupuram, Kallakurichi, Kancheepuram, and Chengalpattu—along with Puducherry and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, can apply.
Vacancies are available for Agniveer General Duty, Agniveer Technical, Agniveer Clerk/Store Keeper Technical, Agniveer Tradesman (8th & 10th pass), Soldier Technical Nursing Assistant, Sepoy Pharma, and Agniveer General Duty (Women Military Police). Candidates can apply for up to two categories based on eligibility.

The Common Entrance Examination (CEE), scheduled for June 2025, will be conducted in 13 languages, including Tamil. Bonus marks will be awarded to ITI and Diploma holders and NCC-certified candidates.
Applications must be submitted online by April 10, 2025. Admit cards will be issued via the official website and registered emails.
