Chennai: The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) has tightened regulations for the correction of student details in Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets.
Amid complaints of misuse in altering key personal information such as names, dates of birth, and parents' names, the DGE has directed that all such correction requests be strictly scrutinized.
Students seeking corrections must now submit the original mark sheet, a replacement certificate and recommendation letter from the headmaster, a copy of the school admission application, and a valid birth certificate.
Applications lacking these original documents will be rejected to prevent irregularities.
Joint Director of Government Examinations Maheshwari has instructed Chief Educational Officers to communicate the revised guidelines to all school headmasters.
