IIT Madras & IITM Pravartak launch free training program

chennai: iit madras pravartak technologies foundation, in collaboration with lightstorm, has launched a free training program for b.sc. and b.c.a students to equip them with industry-ready technical skills. this initiative, starting in the first week of july 2024, aims to provide comprehensive training in it/infrastructure and helpdesk support.the course will cover networking essentials, cloud fundamentals, ticketing tools, linux and windows basics, storage and backup fundamentals, and soft skills. it is designed to help students join it support teams in small to mid-size organizations.applicants, who must have graduated in 2023 or 2024 with a minimum of 60% aggregate in specified streams, can apply by june 12, 2024, through this registration link. while the program does not offer a stipend, it provides placement assistance through mock interviews and campaigns, though no placement guarantee is provided.this initiative is part of iitm pravartak's mission to enhance job readiness among rural youth, supported by the department of science and technology, government of india​ (the times of israel)​​ (nation)​​ (270towin.com)​.
