Indian students excel in Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards

mumbai: indian students have showcased exceptional academic performance in the outstanding cambridge learner awards, organized by cambridge university press & assessment. the awards recognize top achievers in the cambridge igcse™ and international as & a level examinations for the november 2023, march, and june 2024 series.a total of 228 indian students received awards, including 82 who earned the prestigious 'top in the world' accolade for achieving the highest marks globally in individual subjects. additionally, 110 students attained the highest marks in india in various subjects.mathematics emerged as the leading discipline, with 80% of 'top in the world' awards attributed to this subject, followed by english. overall, 88% of global top achievers from india excelled in mathematics and english.the awards also celebrated students who achieved 'high achievement' honors in less widely studied subjects and those who secured the highest cumulative marks across multiple subjects.vinay sharma, senior vice president of cambridge international education south asia, lauded the students' accomplishments, emphasizing cambridge's commitment to equipping learners with critical thinking, research skills, and deep subject knowledge.cambridge international education, with over 160 years of experience, supports nearly one million students annually and is recognized by leading universities worldwide.
