Minister L Murugan inaugurates InSPA conference on School Psychology at CUTN
thiruvarur: dr. l murugan, union minister of state for information and broadcasting & parliamentary affairs, inaugurated the 14th inspa international conference on "research prospects in school psychology" at the central university of tamil nadu (cutn), thiruvarur, on 24 october 2024. sponsored by the indian council of social science research (icssr), the three-day event focuses on addressing the psycho-social challenges faced by students from diverse backgrounds.inhis address, dr. murugan highlighted the importance of mental health and school psychology in nation-building, emphasizing india's resilience during the covid-19 pandemic. he praised the participation of international delegates from countries like russia, france, and japan, and released five new books on school psychology during the event.cutn vice chancellor, prof. m. krishnan, stressed the role of higher education in uplifting communities, sharing the university's commitment to supporting local villages through infrastructure development. the conference will feature workshops, a children's assembly, and awards recognizing contributions to school psychology.the event underscores collaboration across disciplines and the importance of inclusive education in shaping the future of indian students.
