TN Govt. school admissions to begin on March 1

chennai: the director of primary education, naresh, has directed school headmasters to commence admissions for the 2025-26 academic year in government schools from march 1.inan official communication to district education officers, he instructed them to ensure headmasters, through district and block education officers, facilitate student admissions. special attention should be given to enrolling children above five years old who have completed pre-school education in anganwadi centers.additionally, provisions should be made for students transferring from other schools, ensuring sufficient admission slots. the details of newly admitted students must be promptly updated on the 'emis' website, the directive stated.
