Gandhigram Rural University receives special recognition
chennai: the gandhigram rural university announced that it has received a 'special recognition' under which a sum of rs 36 lakh has been granted to its department of chemistry to conduct research on medicinal plants chemistry. according to a univeristy release here, the university grants commission (ugc) had sanctioned the sum under its special assistance programme for research in the areas of medicinal plants chemistry, water chemistry, nanotechnology and corrosion.
