Graduation day at Sri Ramakrishna

kovai: sri ramakrishna college of arts and science for women celebrated its 22nd graduation day at snr sons college auditorium on 25th sep 2016. totally, 525 students from various disciplines were awarded degrees a total number of 24 graduates received bharathiar university ranks and were honored by the chief guest prof.  dr.a.ganapathi, vice-chancellor, bharathiar university. raksha.k, of b.sc (bio-chemistry), tharani.s of m.sc (computer science) and suganya.s of m.com(ca) were honored with gold medals for securing university first ranks. the chief guest in his graduation address appreciated the successful move of the institution that provides enormous opportunities and exposure to meet the challenges of “young women”. he then highlighted that the ideals of education at any level should be the development of human values. it serves as a fundamental tool for women’s empowerment. further, he insisted on the application of educational knowledge in the upliftment of downtrodden and betterment of the society. he emphasized the role of women students in developing the society and in the growth of our nation. he concluded his speech by saying that young women need to inculcate a mind set to increase the number of women entrepreneurs and pave way for economic independence.
