nitin jain, from faridabad who secured first rank in the iit-jee exam said 'having a planned schedule and sticking to it are keys to do well in any competitive exam. i studied for 6-7 hours everyday for the iit-jee ' asked about the role of coaching institutes, nitin who also took coaching in a private institute said, 'i believe good coaching can help immensely in securing a higher rank' quizzed on new format of iit-jee, where the number of questions were reduced from 132 to 120, he preferred the earlier format. 'the new format has very few questions. that is why i could finish the exam half an hour earlier than the stipulated time.' 'having a more questions will help in checking the speed and accuracy of a student,' he added. asked about his future plans, nitin said he would take up computer science course in one of the iits.nitin said he owed a lot to his parents, teachers and friends also for the success. 'the topper also spoke about his penchant for computer games and table tennis. but he lamented that the stiff competition meant that he had hardly anytime for such fun,' he said.
