PU hosts national seminar on crystallography, drug design
puducherry: pondicherry university (pu) organised a three-day national seminar on crystallography and drug design along with a workshop on bioinformatics, featuring sessions on r language, python programming, molecular modelling and drug design.the event, nsc'52, was hosted by the department of bioinformatics and drew over 300 participants from across the country.prof t.p. singh, serb distinguished scientist at aiims, new delhi, delivered the plenary lecture, while prof s.m. yusuf gave the chidambaram memorial lecture and was felicitated with an award. former csir director-general prof s.c. mande, prof rajnikant of jammu university, and dr d. velmurugan, member secretary of tansche, also addressed the seminar.the inaugural session included welcome remarks by prof krishna, head of the department, a presidential address by prof tharanikkarasu, and messages from prof joseph selvin, dean of life sciences. the programme concluded with closing remarks by dr m. suresh kumar.
