SSC candidates can now view question papers, their responses post-exam

new delhi: candidates appearing in staff selection commission (ssc) exams can now view their question papers, responses and the correct answers after taking the test, as the commission has rolled out a series of reforms to make its examinations more transparent and secure.this move will allow candidates to challenge answer keys with evidence and keep copies for their personal use, officials said on friday. the steps aim to balance exam integrity with candidate welfare as the commission prepares for a busy examination cycle in the coming months.a key reform relates to the disclosure and dissemination of question papers, according to the ministry of personnel, public grievances and pensions. “candidates appearing in ssc exams can view their own question papers, responses, and the correct answers,” it said. restrictions will apply only during ongoing multi-shift exams to prevent compromise of later sessions.the ssc, one of the largest recruitment agencies of the central government, will also publish selected past question papers as official sample sets at regular intervals to provide authentic study material for aspirants.ina candidate-friendly move, the ssc has halved the fee for challenging questions—from rs 100 to rs 50 per question—reducing the financial burden on those contesting an answer. an online feedback and grievance portal has been launched, alongside the toll-free helpline 1800-309-3063, for quicker redressal.the commission has also introduced equi-percentile normalisation, ensuring fairness across different exam shifts by comparing candidates on percentile scores rather than raw marks.to enhance exam security, aadhaar-based authentication has been implemented to prevent impersonation, while question papers are transmitted securely through a digital vault. specialised it agencies have been engaged to curb hacking or malpractice.these reforms were evident in the tier-i of the combined graduate level examination (cgle) 2025, where 13.5 lakh of 28 lakh applicants appeared across 126 cities. a re-exam for centres facing technical issues will be held on october 14, with the question challenge window opening on october 15.major upcoming exams between october 2025 and march 2026 include chsle, mts, je, constable (delhi police & capfs), sub-inspector (delhi police & capfs), and delhi police technical cadre exams.the ssc has also launched its official x handle, , urging candidates to rely only on official announcements and avoid misinformation online.
