Chennai: Globalart India, a pioneer in structured art education for children, celebrated its 20th anniversary with a grand event in Chennai on July 2.

Launched in 2005 under SIP Academy, the programme has impacted over 95,000 children across 145 centres in seven Indian states.

The milestone event, held at Grand Chennai by GRT Hotels, brought together early franchisees, instructors, alumni, and dignitaries to commemorate the programme's legacy.

With global origins in Malaysia since 1999, Globalart today operates 650+ centres across 23 countries, making it the world's largest art education network.

Mrs. Sarala Kulasekaran, Director - Finance, Operations, and HR at SIP Academy, highlighted the structured, research-driven curriculum that enables even novice learners to discover their creativity.

Managing Director Mr. Dinesh Victor praised the programme's transformative role, stating, “Globalart helps children gain confidence, explore artistic careers, and perform better in school and life—aligning with SIP's mission to develop children's mental potential.”

Globalart's early team members from 2006 shared heartfelt recollections, crediting the programme's success to a shared vision and deep-rooted passion.

Video messages from notable personalities including Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Janaki Sabesh, Thejo Menon, Amit Krishn Gulati, and Aishwarya Manivannan lauded Globalart's contributions to child development.

Founder Mr. Mahair Goh of Malaysia called the anniversary a testament to Globalart's impact, saying India remains a key pillar in its growth.

The event concluded with alumni tributes and a vote of thanks by Ms. Namrata Mukherjee, Business Head - Globalart India.
