Diamond jubilee reunion celebrates first batch of REC Tiruchirappalli

chennai: the inaugural batch of regional engineering college tiruchirappalli (now nit tiruchirappalli) reunited on 20th january 2025 to commemorate their 60-year milestone.approximately 20 alumni, accompanied by their spouses, gathered on campus to relive memories from their 1964 student days. dr. g. aghila, nit tiruchirappalli's director, presided over the formal meeting, which also included faculty members, alumni from other batches, and current students.the reunion provided a platform for intergenerational interaction and reflection on the institute's enduring legacy. in a gesture of continued support, the alumni donated three lakh rupees to the rec middle school.participants spent the day reconnecting, sharing personal stories, and exploring how their educational experience at the institution shaped their subsequent lives and careers.the event symbolized the strong bonds formed during their academic years and celebrated the institute's long-standing tradition of excellence in engineering education.the diamond jubilee friendship reunion highlighted the lasting impact of educational institutions in fostering lifelong connections and professional growth.
