Minister Murugan announces global Thirukkural conference in Delhi

puducherry: union minister murugan announced that a global thirukkural conference will soon be held in delhi.speaking at the inauguration of a two-day international conference on psychology at pondicherry university, murugan also released a glossary book during the national psychology conference. he emphasized:"it is the responsibility of every indian citizen to nurture humanity, scientific awareness, and a spirit of reform."highlighting a significant initiative, he noted that last november, the prime minister launched the "one nation one subscription" program. this initiative aims to provide students, teachers, and researchers access to scholarly e-journals across medicine, management, social sciences, and humanities. with this, 1.8 crore individuals can access 13,000 journals from 30 publishers.murugan further stressed the importance of thirukkural in education: "teachers should draw inspiration from thirukkural to motivate students. while new technologies like artificial intelligence and sat gbt may emerge, the wisdom of thirukkural remains timeless. it is a priceless treasure of tamil culture, and prime minister modi is committed to spreading its teachings worldwide."he also recalled the prime minister's promise before the election to establish thirukkural cultural centers globally, with six centers already set up in four months. murugan added that tamil devotees and experts have long advocated for a thirukkural conference in delhi, which will soon take place. the date for this global event will be announced shortly.
