SA College of Arts & Science hosts seminar on Empowering Women in STEM

chennai: s.a. college of arts & science hosted a seminar titled “empowering the next generation of women in stem: navigating challenges and seizing opportunities under nep,” organized by the school of commerce and sponsored by icssr-src on jan 8. with over 100 article submissions, the seminar aimed to address gender disparities in stem and align with india's vision viksit bharat @ 2047.the event explored obstacles women face in stem, such as gender bias and work-life balance, while promoting strategies for empowerment. key discussions focused on enhancing leadership opportunities, fostering gender equality, and leveraging nep initiatives.the seminar featured expert speakers, including dr. rameshbabu boga, ms. jananee jayakumar, mr. deepak, and ms. ponniyinselvi k m, who shared insights on challenges, work-life harmony, and leadership in stem fields. the event concluded with a valedictory address by ms. adhilakshmi logamurthy, emphasizing policy support for women in stem careers.
