Salem Government Engineering College awarded A+ status

omalur: in a first among tamil nadu's government engineering institutions, salem government engineering college has earned an a+ status.established in 1996, the college, located in karupur, salem, currently educates 2,500 students across six departments. a two-phase evaluation was conducted by a team from the national assessment and accreditation council (naac) to assess the institution's quality.the initial phase took place on august 30 and 31, followed by a second phase on october 24 and 25.the team reviewed the college's infrastructure, educational programs, student achievements, and research and development initiatives over the past five years. following the inspection, naac awarded salem government engineering college an a+ rating.principal vijayan shared his thoughts on this accomplishment, stating, "naac awarded us a 3.43 out of 4, a significant achievement reflecting our commitment to high educational standards. this is the first a+ recognition for a government engineering college in tamil nadu. i extend my gratitude to sivalakshmi, director of the internal quality assurance division, along with all faculty, officers, and staff whose efforts led to this success."
