Tamil Nadu Fellowship for Tribal Research announced

chennai: the department of adi dravidar and tribal welfare in tamil nadu has introduced a fellowship program aimed at supporting students undertaking research in topics related to the tribal communities of the state. this initiative seeks to encourage academic exploration into the rich cultural, social, and economic aspects of tamil nadu's tribal population.eligibility: applicants must be residents of tamil nadu.eligible courses include undergraduate (ug), postgraduate (pg), ph.d., and postdoctoral studies.family income should not exceed ₹8 lakh per annum.open to applicants from any community.fellowship benefits:for ug and pg students: ₹10,000 for a period of 6 months.for ph.d. and postdoctoral students: ₹25,000 for a period of up to 3 years.application deadline:interested candidates are encouraged to apply by november 30 to benefit from this initiative. this fellowship aims to foster greater academic interest in tribal studies, contributing to a deeper understanding and preservation of tamil nadu's tribal heritage.
