Puducherry - A Gateway for MSMEs Business Meet Showcases Investment Opportunities
puducherry: the indian chamber of commerce, in collaboration with the branch secretariat of the ministry of external affairs (chennai) and the department of industries, government of puducherry, organised a business event titled “puducherry - a gateway for msmes” on september 11 in puducherry.lieutenant governor shri kailashnathan inaugurated the programme as chief guest, while shri namassivayam, minister for home, commerce and industries, was the guest of honour.addressing the gathering, the lt. governor underlined puducherry's msme-friendly ecosystem, citing ease-of-doing-business initiatives and emerging investment opportunities. he added that the government was focusing on developing it hubs in puducherry to widen avenues for entrepreneurs.minister namassivayam reaffirmed the government's commitment to strengthening msmes and said several policy measures were underway to ensure a robust business environment, aligned with the prime minister's vision of a “best puducherry.”shri s. vijayakumar, ifs, head of branch secretariat (mea, chennai), spoke on the support extended by the government of india for msmes. shri a. vikranthraja, secretary-cum-director, industries and commerce, highlighted puducherry's efforts to promote green msmes and outlined upcoming business events planned in association with fieo and trade bodies.the meet drew participation from msme entrepreneurs, eminent chambers of commerce, and foreign consul generals based in chennai and puducherry. the deliberations offered valuable insights into growth opportunities, support mechanisms, and avenues for export promotion.
