560 guest lecturers appointed in government colleges in TN

chennai: tamil nadu higher education minister k. chezhiyan announced the appointment of 560 honorary lecturers in government arts and science colleges across the state.for the current academic year, 15,000 additional seats have been created in various courses. to ensure that students' academic activities continue uninterrupted until permanent assistant professors are appointed, chief minister m.k. stalin directed the hiring of guest lecturers.applications were received and interviews conducted zone-wise from august 18 to 28. the list of selected candidates has been published on www.tngasa.org. selected lecturers are required to join their respective colleges by september 8.the move aims to strengthen teaching resources and maintain the quality of education in government institutions across tamil nadu.
